About Dr. Siegert
Dr. Siegert has been a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist since 1984, following completion of his doctorate in Clinical Psychology, his internship at Harvard Medical School, and seven years teaching at Harvard University and Harvard Medical School. Media appearances include The O'Reilly Factor, Paula Zahn, Crossfire, Connie Chung, Paula Zahn, CourtTV, MSNBC, among others. He has pursued considerable post-doctoral training, including the intensive study of interpersonally-oriented psychoanalysis-a contemporary approach built upon appreciating the depth of individuals in their struggles and victories in dealing with one another--the problems that come with simply being fully human in relationships with other humans. As a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, he has had the privilege of coming to know numerous individuals (patients or clients) at a depth that is rarely possible in ordinary life, and through that experience and his participation in helping these people to live happier and more fulfilling lives, he is able to pass on that knowledge in his work with others.
Dr. Siegert offers individuals the chance to live more fulfilling lives, to become more fully and genuinely themselves, and to decrease the patterns of behavior that have gotten in the way of work, financial stability, self-care, relationships, and love. He often serves as a consultant with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals who seek his assistance on issues of diagnosis and treatment, especially when their patients have not done as well as expected.
